The Acer TravelMate C300 will most likely appeal to those wanting a combination notebook and tablet in one package. With a larger screen and built-in DVD/CD-RW drive the TravelMate offers more features than similar Tablets like the Toshiba Portege M200.

However, at 6.2-pounds it's a little on the heavy side for Tablet writing but it does process a comfortable writing stylus and the Acer trademark ergonomic, 5-degree curved keyboard design. Like the Portege M200, it can display in either portrait or landscape mode.

Power comes from a 1.5-GHz Pentium M, coupled with 512MB XGA screen and the screen has a sensor thats adjusts brightness based on lighting conditions.
