Along Came a Bug! Or How to Get Your PC Running Properly Again.

Sooner or later; it will happen.

If you use your PC frequently, download and install software programs, or just surf the net like a remotely certifiable computer geek - it will happen.

First, it will start with a simple 'illegal operation' while you're on the verge of some wired revelation and you have to shut down the program you're running.

Gradually, the 'illegal' pop-ups increase and you get your first 'blue screen of death'.

We have all been there; done that.

If this has NOT happened to you yet - keep watching your screen - it's coming soon to a monitor near you.

And if you're one of the unlucky ones - it will keep coming and coming and coming...

Your computer freezes up more and more and pretty soon the 'reboot button' is your only salvation. You find yourself clicking that lifeline so often you consider calling your firstborn Regis...

Suddenly, it sneaks up on you - until you realize - you're spending more time 'trying' to get your PC to work properly than you actually spend 'using' it.

You have picked up a bug, virus, worm, or all of the above.

You have also picked up a problem.

You're wasting most of your time dealing with this bug or virus - instead of enjoying your PC.

Here are some solutions - try these and you will probably fix your problem.

Start with the simple stuff... First, run a system scan on your computer, use the thorough method. If you have simple errors - the system will repair itself. Click Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools and then Click Scan Disk.

Second, visit Windows Updates (if you're using that system) and download and install any updates.

Third, get rid of any adware programs on your system. You can go to https://www.lavasoft.com and download their free software program. Delete or quarantine any suspicious programs running on your computer. If you're a heavy surfer - you might be amazed at the programs running on your computer.

Fourth, get a good firewall if you don't already have one. Go to https://www.zonelabs.com and download their personal ZoneAlarm firewall software and protect yourself against future attacks/problems.

If your problem is still NOT FIXED - as a last resource - you might want to call in the Doctor.
